why is a harness the worst training tool?

Yep. Harnesses are made for pulling. I’m shocked how many people don’t see this. A Herm Sprenger collar stops the pulling immediately and they don’t harm the dog at all. They just look scary.

I think what escapes most people is how confusing their behavior is to their dog. You’ve demonstrated quite clearly that it’s not about “talking to your dog” it’s about clear communication…through behavior.

Why is the harness a bad tool? Should it just be a normal collar leash instead? If so, why?

I've got a 10 month old German Shorthaired Pointer that I've been training to take her on section hikes of the Appalachian Trail. My girlfriend and I have been so proud of her training and we have just started to introduce the e-collar a couple days ago. We've been using your videos from the start of the remote collar training and I have to say I appreciate the time and effort you put into making thee quality videos. Millie works on a Low level 2 and has responded so well to the e-collar! I have realized that we allowed her walking on the leash to get out of hand so we are starting back from square one. This video was a huge help for that! Thanks for everything! Josh, Taylor, and our Millie pup!

positively remarkable! I've let The Duke noodle around on a long line up till now. Now at 9 months, I'm incorporating your technique.

Why do you dislike harnesses? Just don't give enough directional feedback or what?
